1. Facebook Video will be #1 for Video Marketing

Last year (2017), 90% of all content shared by users on social media was video. In 2018, video will continue to dominate the content marketing arena. Of all the social media channels, we can look to Facebook to lead the industry.

2. Pinterest Ad Targeting 

While most real estate agents rely on an organic social media presence, paid advertising can go a long way. As many of you have likely discovered, Facebook ads are a fantastic way to brand yourself and look for leads in your farming area. In 2018, Pinterest will be tweaking their ad program to be more efficient for keywords and visual search. In addition, video pins will become more widely accepted.  

3. LinkedIn Ads 

There’s nothing new about using LinkedIn for advertising, but this year we are seeing a reassurance of users headed back to LinkedIn. For real estate agents, this will be a good platform to test out advertising. The organic reach of LinkedIn is also expected to increase as predicted algorithm changes roll out.

4. Humanized Business Interactions

The need for consumers to interact with humanized businesses will continue to grow. This is just one more reason that managing your Facebook presence is so important for your business. You not only want people to learn about you and your business, but to also interact with you and, ultimately, like you!

5. Give Twitter Some Space

Twitter has been a secure part of the social media world for years now, but it’s predicted to continue slowing down in 2018. It might be worth switching your attention over to more popular channels like Instagram and Facebook.

In addition to these 5 tactics, there will be new live video streaming programs developing, a heavy reliance on virtual reality in the real estate industry, and messenger and hang out apps will become increasingly popular.
