At one time or another we have all seen a post on Facebook that has put us in an uncomfortable position. Is it appropriate to “like” this post if it’s bad news? Fret not because after more than a year in production, Facebook launched “reactions” so that we are able to authentically react to our connection’s posts.
Here are 3 points about reacting with new Facebook emoticons:

Reactions ARE appropriate for a Facebook Business Page
Your goal is to encourage others to react to your posts by reacting, liking and commenting on your posts. It’s okay to have fun with your Facebook Business Page and you want your Fans to have fun on your page as well.
Encourage people to use reactions on your posts
Your goal should always be to evoke an emotional response with your posts. You want your Fans to feel emotionally attached to what you are saying and relate to you. Is your post a cute animal picture reminding them to have a good day? Is your post about a comical encounter with one of your clients? Did a shocking moment happen during one of your open houses? Try to get your Fans to feel what you were feeling in those moments.
When liking a post just doesn’t cut it, use one of Facebook’s new reactions. Show your Fans that being professional online doesn’t mean you’re sacrificing fun. Have the best of both worlds and use new Facebook reactions!
